Too Little Faith to Be an Atheist

The observable universe is approximately 93 billion light-years (one light-year equals about 5.88 trillion miles) in diameter, containing an estimated 100 billion to 2 trillion galaxies, each comprising an average of 100 million stars, according to calculations based on the Hubble Space and James Webb telescopes and new mathematical models. Voyager 1 is a space probe launched by NASA in 1977 to explore the outer solar system and interstellar space. After 48 years of continuous flight, it is currently over 15 billion miles (22.3 light-hours) from Earth and still going. Our own Milky Way galaxy alone is estimated to be 105,700 light-years in diameter and contains 100–400 billion stars and at least that number of planets.

Our unique planet teems with life, from the microscopic flea to the colossal blue whale. While the exact number is unknown, scientists estimate around 8.7 million animal species are on Earth. D-Day June 6, 1944: The Bible and Prayer of WWII

During World War II, troops were given a pocket Bible, which included a letter from US President Franklin Roosevelt encouraging them to read it. The letter reads:

To the Armed Forces:
As Commander-in-Chief, I take pleasure in commending the reading of the Bible to all who serve in the armed forces of the United States. Throughout the centuries men of many faiths and diverse origins have found in the Sacred Book words of wisdom, counsel and inspiration. It is a fountain of strength and now, as always, an aid in attaining the highest aspirations of the human soul.
Very sincerely yours,
   Franklin D. Roosevelt.
